Access Reviews
Assessing current access conditions for using archive collections and developing practical solutions for improving access and outreach.

Archive Building Assessment and Design
Assessing current archive accommodation against BS5454 Recommendations for the Storage and Exhibition of Archival Documents as well as the practical needs of the archive service.  I also advise on designing archive buildings to assist compliance with BS5454 and build in future development of the archive service.

Collection Reviews
Assessing physical conditions and information content  of archive collections including significance assessments, collection management and preservation/conservation issues.

Consultation
I am very experienced at consultation both for individual institutions and on a regional  and national basis.  I can work one-to-one or in groups to assess opinion, gain buy-in  and develop strategic thinking.

Feasibility and Evaluation Studies and Options Appraisals
Helping you to make well-informed decisions.  Past projects have included outreach proposals, capital investment plans, service reorganisations and reorganisation of archive storage.

Heritage Lottery Fund Documentation
Including Conservation Management Statements and Plans and Activity Plans as well as evaluation of projects for HLF reporting and future planning.
