I am an experienced trainer, delivering a suite of high quality courses to all levels of heritage staff from volunteers to professionals and heads of service. I have been awarded of the Seal of Recognition by the Chartered Institute of  Library and Information Professionals(CILIP). I usually provide  courses in-house or through training providers such as Creating Capacity. or CILIP. Archive Training Courses: A beginners’ guide to archives
Archives are a wonderful resource but they have very specific needs.  This one-day course introduces those without professional archival qualifications to the basics of managing archive collections.  The day looks at what archives are, collecting, cataloguing and finding aids, storage and access. To ensure the survival of collections and the development of dynamic, viable heritage services high quality long-term planning is vital.  But just how do you do strategic planning?   This one-day course will introduce delegates to the fundamentals of strategic planning including creating a vision, setting goals, developing a strategy and analysing stakeholders.  It is suitable for anyone entering a management role for the first time, undertaking a specific project or who just wants to improve their general management skills.
